Mom, we still think about you and your legacy nearly every day. You gave so much, and asked for so little. Gamma Sigma Sigma has helped a lot just in Amy's life. We love you and miss you.

Like many of my sisters before me in this guest book, I have fond memories at convention of Marvyn. I can't begin to explain how exciting it really was to get to know one of our founding sisters, and she instilled a sense of pride and dedication to not only Gamma Sig, but the service of others. I only hope that now I can carry on her vision with the help of my sisters. Marvyn, you will truly be missed.

I am truly saddened by the passing of one of our Founding Sisters. May she rest in peace. Like all my sisters who have signed before me, I am grateful for her vision and courage to help found this sorority based on friendship, service and equality. She was a visionary and will be missed. Thank you Marvyn!

To all,
Marvyn was a special angel who's love of life, learning and devotion to friendship will always be remembered. Knowing her made me a better person. She welcomed me to Atlanta, she comforted me in hard times and made me laugh often! I will miss her greatly. I am grateful for all her accomplishments were great.

Marvyn will be missed by so mnay, including many who will never know her. When she showed up at a disaster scene in her Red Cross vest, whether it was one family burned out, or a major hurricane, she made each individual fell there needs came first. She also trained a lot of people (including myself) to be there when she couldn't. But we could never bring her caring and passion. She will be missed.

Hey Mom,
You were a volunteer-aholic and I love you for that! You taught me it is better to serve than be served. You will definitely be remembered forever. I am so glad you are healed and with your savior now. I told everyone at school you are singing loudly in the choir now. I miss you much already, but I keep remembering the legacy you have given me.
Your loving daughter, Debby

Bill and family,
Marvyn was a very special sorority sister and I looked forward to seeing her at convention. I will miss our phone calls if I had a question or she wanted to talk to me. I'll miss the packages that seemed to arrive unexpectedly at my door. But what I will miss most is hearing about what she was doing today, since Marvyn was a lot of fun to talk with.

I have never lost a mom but I feel when one mom is gone we all feel the pain for a mom's love reaches wide. Her love is now reaching out to you and comforts you in your grief for she knows you are hurting for her but she is in peace.Take comfort in knowing this and live your life the way God wants you to. We love you here at East Hall.

I remember meeting Marvyn 9 years ago at my 1st Gamma Sigma Sigma Convention in Atlanta. I was so excited to meet one of our founding sisters. The funny thing is that each time I saw Marvyn after that, I felt the same rush and pride because not only was she then a founding sister, she was also a friend and an inspiration to all of us! She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family!

Although I never met you personnally I am moved by the choice you made in helping to start this sorority. It has been one of the best things I could have done in my life. I know you lead a life of service and I strive to do the same. May you rest in peace knowing that me and the other sorors will do our best to continue what you and the other ladies began. I send my condolences to your family. And I hope this helps them know how much you are appreciated and loved!

Bill and family-
There will never be another person such as Marvyn. She was truely one of the "Belles of Georgia" who was always young at heart and an inspiration to all of us in Gamma Sigma Sigma, either to a college undergrad sister or to those of us who were alums. Her love of life and love of the sorority were inspirational. She will truely be missed by all. I always looked forward to seeing Marvyn at our national conventions over the years, and loved our visits this past summer in Chicago. Thank you Marvyn for helping make Gamma Sigma Sigma a special place to be. Also thank you for just being you.
God Bless!

Few people can say they were lucky enough to have met one of their organization's founders. Well, I am overjoyed to say that I was blessed to have met Mrs. Marvyn Glover Ruppert, not lucky. For she was a blessing to us all. From the brief moments, I spent around her, she was a motivation, all in herself. Having met her, she helps me to appreciate service and being a servant even more. She will be missed.
