Steven Barnes Obituary

Steven Barnes Steven Barnes, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Big Bend Hospice House of Tallahassee, after a prolonged illness. A private family service will be held at a later date. Bevis Funeral Home Tallahassee (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is handling arrangements. Steven leaves behind loving family members: his sons, Heath Barnes (and fiance Chelsea Parrish), Jonathan Scott Barnes and Steven J. Barnes; grandchildren, Meghan Leigh Barnes and Michael Heath Barnes; nephews and nieces, Dawn T. Bunting, Leslie Bennett Barnes, Sundown Barnes (and wife Jenni), along with his life long partner, Carla Barnes of Tallahassee. Steve will be remembered by friends and family for his compassion and thoughtfulness for others.

Carla,Jonathan,Stevie and Heath--I worked with Steve for many years. He was a good boss and a caring person. I'm very sorry for your loss, he will be missed by all of us. He loved you all very much and always talked about you! My thoughts and prayers are with you--Debra Taylor

Very sorry to learn of Steve's passing - please accept our deepest sympathies. We lived next door to Steve from about 1975-1979. He was a great next door neighbor and a great friend. Our kids (Eli & Matt) were childhood friends with Heath.

Steven worked for me at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and I want to say the he was a great man and I really learned a lot from him and he will be missed. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
