Ricky Dilks Obituary
He was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Fieldon, the son of John Raymond and Nelda Driver Dilks. He married Lora Lou "Hodie" Smith on Aug. 15, 1970, in White Hall, and she survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Tonya Kaye Dilks of White Hall; a son, Johnnie Russell (wife, Tecia) Dilks of Girard; his mother, Nelda Evans of Barnhart, Mo.; five sisters, Beverly (husband, Larry) Snead of Imperial, Mo., Gaye Tillery of Jerseyville, Melody Hunter of Jerseyville, Mischelle (husband, Matthew) Rhodes of New Berlin and Kiesha (husband, John) Stiles of Jerseyville; and three brothers, Lee "Doc" Evans and Jay Evans, both of Barnhart, Mo., and Chris Dilks of Jerseyville. He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Tina Dilks.
He worked out of the Central Labor Local 253 for 34 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall, with burial at White Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to North Greene Food Pantry or Greene County Relay For Life. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.

Ogi & I were so surprised and sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was always a kind person to us and a good neighbor to my parents. Wish we could be there, but events here won't allow it. Rick will be dearly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
