Seima Aoyama was an accountant from Culver City, Calif., who was apparently traveling on business when the American Airlines flight he was on crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center.

Born in Japan, Aoyama, 48, was married and had two children, said a family friend, David Kadin.

Not sure what to say?

Seima-san... Why did it have to happen to you and all the kind people? Although I didn´t know you personally, I believe in the Gohonzon and a nice guy like you especially don´t deserve that! I was a little child in 2001 and I remembered everything, but I didn´t know we had a fellow believer in the incident. I will continue to do Daimoku with all other believers for everyone´s peace and safety and the world´s free of wars. NMRK

On this 20 anniversary, remembering David's beautiful and encouraging smile that came directly fromthe Buddha nature. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

9/11 has always been a painful memory. When I learned in late 2020 that my old friend Seima was on that 1st plane, 9/11 became much more painful & personal. To his beautiful wife, I will forever be sending you positive vibes, love, and prayers. You guys were the cutest couple, and the love you felt for each other was ever present & endearing.
For Seima's children, who I've never met, I would like for you to know that even after 40 years , your father's guidence & influence...

I was a classmate of George and every year, on this day, I think of his father and their family. I can´t believe it´s been 20 years. Sending love and blessings your way.

On this 20th anniversary, I hope all who knew Seima-san will remember his caring and kind soul. He was wonderful to both my mother Yoshiko and I in our years together at BeniHana Memphis, Tn. You were taken from this earth too soon. I pray your loved ones´ hearts are comforted and at peace. Not forgotten.

I remember David when I use to practice Buddhism in Chicago and in Memphis. I no longer practice Buddhism but I remember David as always a nice guy with great smile. When photos emerged of the passenger list on Flight 11 from Boston. I immediately knew that was David. I felt very bad seeing that. I always wanted to acknowledgement to what a nice guy he was. Dear Seima, You are still missed. You were a great manager at Bennihana and taught me a great work ethic. You & your lovely wife were my friends and although it's been a long time since I saw you both, I will always remember you and have the nicest of thoughts towards you both. I'm sorry I was so late finding out that you were gone from this earth, but I will forever remember you.
