Not sure what to say?

I want to pay tribute to Nick. Although I never actually knew him, I have lived in his Auburndale house with my family since 2012. My husband Errol and I think of him, and honor him, on September 11th. He sounds like he was such a great man ... all these heartfelt tributes attest to that, above and beyond his important accomplishments.

It now April 8, 2023, and I am NYC preparing to visit the 9/11 memorial and museum. Nick and I were co-workers at Enron some 22 years ago. I flew from Texas to CA the day before the attacks for a large team meeting. There was one empty chair that night. There was a long pause in memory of a great person. Nick was and still is missed.

Nick, it has been 20 years since God took you home. Although it has been many, many years since we were both students at RPI and played varsity lacrosse together; I still remember what a wonderful person you were. I often wish I could pick up a phone and give you a call, this is especially true on today's 9/11. The world is such a different place since you left, but I truly believe you had a strong influence on the development of wind power.

Good speed,

Bill

On the eve of the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, my thoughts go out to the family of Nick Humber. Nick and I worked at Enron Wind where I met him at a few company meetings in Tehachapi, CA. Nick was humble, motivated and excited to learn about commercial scale wind energy. I remember Nick's family making a statement after his death urging people to tolerate differences and to not take their anger out on those practicing different religions. Nick, you were at the...

As I near my 60th birthday, I pause to think of you today. I pray for the friends and family that you left behind, for the many you touched in a positive way, and challenge myself to reach out and use my remaining time here on earth in helping others, as Nicholas did. I will think of you when each time I see one of those wind farms. Much love from Texas,

My deepest sympathy to your family. I worked with Nick at Thermo Electron in early 80's. I was the Secretary in his department. Always talked about his new baby Jordan - so proud! My thoughts are with you today and always. Debbie Connolly, NJ 09/12/2011

To the family and friends of Nicholas Humber:
Nicholas will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not allow those we lost on 9/11 be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you.
