Diane Puliafico Obituary
Diane Elizabeth Puliafico passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at her home in San Diego. Diane was fun loving and lived life to the fullest. Her infectious smile and personality were qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. The world was a better place for having her in it. Diane was born on March 28, 1959, in Brockton, MA, where she lived with her mother and four brothers and sisters until she relocated to her beloved San Diego in 1984. Ms. Puliafico was a highly successful, award winning account executive for Sprint/ Nextel. Diane was a graduate of Brockton Public schools and received her degree from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA in 1981. Diane is survived by her mother Dorothy of Brockton, MA; her father Charles of Tucson, AZ; her sister Donna of Willis, TX; her brother Stephen and his wife Jane (Mancini) and their children Christopher and Lauren of Sharon, MA; her brother Brian and his wife Debbie (Katz) and their children Kelsey and Andrea Lei of Cary, N.C. and her sister Carolyn of San Diego, CA, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends across the country. Services for Ms. Puliafico will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008, at Featheringill Mortuary, 6322 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115, with a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Didacus Catholic Church, 4772 Felton St., San Diego, CA 92116, on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Diane's Life immediately following her funeral at the home of her dearest friend Amy (Farbstein) Jensen at 8097 Camino Montego, Carlsbad, CA 92009. I am saddened by this news of Diane's passing. I have very fond memories of Diane waiting at the end of Hoover Ave and walking to Huntington School and South Jr. H.S. with me every morning. In H.S. we played field hockey together. We were truly Mutt & Jeff look-alikes. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. We were very good friends at BHS & I enjoyed all the times I spent at her house and playing sports. Diane was a friend of mine. I work for brady company in san diego and she was our Nextel account representative. She was always in a good mood and always had something positive to bring to any phone call or meeting. I hope that Heaven is a real place. I know they would welcome her.

I was saddened when I heard of Dianes passing. Growing up freinds with Steve and Brian we spent countless hours at the Puliafico house, swimming for hours in the pool and hanging out with the family. Diane was always there with us, laughing, hanging out and just having a good time enjoying life.....though I have not seen her in years, she will be missed. My condolences to the family....Life is not fair sometimes.

I was so saddened to hear about Diane. I know I'm echoing many other entries but the sentiment is true-Diane was full of smiles and laughter and was loved by everyone who met her. I hadn't seen her for many years but still remember the good times at BHS-especially her reaction when we put a picture in the yearbook of her in the Boxer mascot outfit! I was looking through that yearbook with fond memories today...

To All of You,
I am so sorry for your loss. Diane was such a special person in my life. She was a great friend to me always. She helped me with softball, We hung out at St. Corners (Ha! Ha!) on Sunday a few times, not always though, Mrs. P. we went to church sometimes, we got the bulletin didn't we? We got into trouble together, but not much trouble. The things I remember the most is hanging out and having fun, going to softball games,& football games. She was a great mascot. Do you have her picture in the boxer suit? It's in my yearbook. When I heard of Diane's death from my HC roommate all I could think of was that beautiful smile and infectious laugh. I am sure heaven is a happier place now that Diane is there.
