Chris Libby recalled how his younger brother, Dustin, looked the day he shipped off for boot camp _ a kid with scruffy, long hair, still a bit tipsy from the previous night''s festivities. When the brothers saw each other again at boot camp graduation, Chris Libby did a double take. "I''m looking at this man in front of me. I''m two inches taller than him and he''s looking at me, eye to eye, in full uniform. It amazed me," Chris Libby said. Libby, 22, of Presque Isle, Maine, died Dec. 6 during a firefight in Anbar province. He was a 2003 high school graduate and was assigned to Camp Pendleton. His family called him Dustin "Trouble" Libby because trouble seemed to follow him wherever he went. Such as the time his older brother hogtied him and hung him upside down from an apple tree. "He got down, brought me the rope and asked me to do it again," Chris Libby remembered. Jeannine Gonzales met him in a California bar; she was supposed to be his "wing woman" by helping him find a promising date. Instead, they became a couple. They got engaged a few weeks ago. He also is survived by his mother, Geni Libby, and father, Judson Libby.

Not sure what to say?

I remember a quiet little boy who never smiled. I saw all those photos of you as a proud Marine with a smile that wouldn't quit. I wish I had told you not to go because I just felt that you won't be back. But knowing you and after seeing those pictures where you were so happy -you found your place at last. You will remain in my heart for always.

To the Family of Cpl. Libby. I want you to know that I think of Dustin everyday. He will never be forgotten by this Marine Mom. God Bless. Semper Fi Heavenly Hero.

CPL Dustin Libby "AKA Rusty Shackleford"

I am over in Kuwait right now, and I was thinking of you on the 6th. I was thinking about all the memories. You were a true warrior and will never be forgotten. Young men should aspire to live the way you did. Rest easy brother we miss you.

Missing you tonight brother. It's been a long time since I've had something I consider a real "purpose" in life. Last night I was reminded that living the life you allowed me was a good one. Thinking about hooking up with some of these mercs to get a little more payback. Really missing you. Rest easy devil dog.

Hey Dusty, Funny how some stupid soap opera will bring memories! I can't smoke or drink the memories away. I've had people look at your plate and wonder what it was. How can I get one of those? The people ask, when I can answer, I say it's for a hero. They just don't understand! I miss you, when I found out that you were back in Ramadi I had this dark feeling. It came through, you were gone. I still remember the Marines at my door telling me you were gone. I try to keep in touch with your...

Miss you bud! Your forever a hero in my eyes my friend.

We remain grateful to Dustin for his service and sacrifice for this country.

Thinking about you today as always bro. Wish I could just pick up the phone and give you a call, even to talk for just a minute. Memorial day just passed a couple weeks ago and my daughter turned four, I'm sure you were on a lot of peoples mind. Man time flys, wish you could have met my kids man. Ill be sure to tell them about their crazy uncle rusty. Till next time brother. Semper fi.
