So I'm in my summer internship right now, and they want us to find pictures of a leader in our life that motivates and drives us. Of course, you're the first one that comes to mind and always have been since I was born. It's amazing how even though you're gone you are still the footsteps I strive to fill and the role model for my leadership. I miss you so much and hope I'm making you proud, Myke. I love you cuz.

My life as a Non Commissioned Officer evolves around taking care of Soldiers and preserving life as a Health Care Provider. It has been almost five years since the good Lord called upon you and to this day I assure you that my soldiers come first and they return home safely to their loved ones. I swear my life on this.

I knew Mykel for a bit in middle school and high school. He was a smart young man and I am thankful for his service to this country. I know how hard it is to lose a child and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Mykel’s bravery and ultimate sacrifice for his Country, makes him an American Hero to me. I only knew Mykel briefly while being in Afghanistan with him.
