We worked together at Mountain Home AFB until I retired in April 2001. You were our Vehicle Control NCO for the CES squadron. I was shocked to learn of your passing. Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice.

It is coming up on 20 years since you made the ultimate sacrifice. I have had the chance to see your children at various timesthey are doing well, and their mother has done an amazing job. Bravo Zulu Airman!

We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Evander Earl Andrews US Air Force Master Sergeant.

I only knew of you in passing, but I could tell by the people around you that you were the life of the party. We deployed together in September of 2001 from MT Home AFB. I remember the day of your passing very vividly. I worked for the Fire Department and your accident happened about 20 yards away from me. We were by your side working on you within a few minutes. I want your family to know that we did everything we could possibly do to bring you back, but it was already too late. I think about you and your family often as this day has been burned into my memory for the rest of my life. You were and always will be a true hero in my eyes Andy. Shortly after your passing, tent city was renamed “Camp Andy” in your memory. God bless you and your family!

My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

"I'll always remember that day when I arrived at Mountain Home AFB... Msgt Whistler said "We can't call you Andy, 'cause that's 'Andy' over there! We'll just call you Sinclair." I served with Andy for just less than 4 years. He always had a get it done attitude, and a great sense of humor. I learned alot from him about equipment and more importantly being a respected man who valued his family and his religion. Probably my favorite memory is seeing Andy leaving the base one day on his motorcycle with Ethan sitting behind him... asleep. Ethan loved to ride with him. Andy said "He's just so comfortable back there, he just falls asleep." It was an honor to know him, and I will never forget him!"

Know that you are not forgotten! Thank you for all that you taught me over the years!

As I think back to the first time that I met MSgt Andrews at MHAFB, he was a very caring man of God. It was an honor to be under his leadership at MHAFB. May God be with you and your family this year.

I want to say first of all how proud of this young man and I'm so very sorry for his families loss. I want the family to know that I am very proud of each and every person who fights for our rights here and gives us the freedom to live like we live. I have a brother right now serving in Kwait and I worry each and every day for him and everyone over there. I want to say that you have a very special place in my heart and thank you very much.

My deepest sympathy yet highest regards for Master Sgt Andrews. Thank you for your service to our country.

Upon assuming my first squadron command, I honored MSgt Andrews' memory by including his sacifice at my 1st commander's call. Words will never fully express the pain and gratitude that we feel for his loss. I thank him profoundly for his sacrifice. The future safety and freedom that my children will enjoy is because of his precious life---given in defense of America and making it truly the land of the free and home of the brave. God bless him always.
