I am saddened to read about the passing of Mrs Kwinter. She was an amazing human being that saw greatness in her students. She identified that I was a visual learner, and allowed me to watch the Othello movies during lunch time in a prebooked classroom. She went out of her way to make these arrangements to ensure my success in her English class. As I reflect on my educational experiences- I am glad I had the opportunity to be educated by Mrs. Kwinter. I am forever grateful.

I absolutely ADORED Mrs. Kwinter. She was my Grade 12 English Teacher and was truly inspirational. She had so much joy and energy when she taught. I looked forward to seeing her every morning. She was incredibly sophisticated and had the best wardrobe! She knew I admired Haute Couture and one day, she was so funny... in front of the whole class she came up to my desk, first thing in the morning, turned around and proudly showed her scarf, she said, "Look Hiromi!" It was a Chanel. You should have been there, seeing how cute she was showing her gorgeous scarf! I feel blessed to have had her as my teacher and especially now, being an aspiring playwright as well as having taught ESL in the past. My condolences to Mrs. Kwinter's family. Please know how deeply she has touched so many lives. I love her so much.

Dear Kwinter Family
Mrs Kwinter was my Mass Media and Film Arts teacher at Cedarbrae Collegiate. Her encouragement and support pulled out the creative being in me. Her classes were always fun and inspiring. I saw her as a friend. Later in life my wife worked with Lisa and I was able to reconnect at Lisa and Matthew's wedding. Fond memories. My condolences to the family.

Mr. Kwinter
My deepest condolence on the passing of your beautiful wife. I had the pleasure of seeing her with you during the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Service's recognition of your tenure as our Minister. I was completely captivated by her charm, sense of humour and bountiful grace which she relayed so easily. I remember thinking what an elegant and lovely wife, the equally elegant Mr. Kwinter has as his partner. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Mrs.Kwinter was my Mass Media and Film Arts teacher for three years at Cedarbrae Collegiate. She was incredibly warm hearted and encouraging. I am in my 50s and her lessons remain with me still -- and I use the knowledge she shared when I develop corporate and training videos! I hope her family knows they are not alone in their grief.

A couple weeks ago, my friends and I started a conversation about great teachers. - Mrs. Kwinter was the first that came to my mind. I shared many fond memories of being in her OAC class with them. She will definitely be missed, but we will continue to share our wonderful memories of her. My condolences to Mrs. Kwinter’s loving family (of which she spoke of often) and friends.
