Chris, you were our fun-loving and adventurous child. Whatever Greg could not do, you were close at hand to show him how or to lend a helping hand. You could be counted on not only by your family, but your friends. You took the words "friendship" and "family" very serious. The role of "godfather" that grandpa Friday bestowed on you was very fitting. One which you cherished in every meaning of the word. Jack will grow up to know how much you loved him and that you will be watching over him. We will let him know that his Uncle Chris was a very special person and would have loved to be there when he learned to ride a Harley. We know that you and Greg will watch over Jennifer as she continues her future journey in life. We know that it was hard for us to give you up an early age, but know in our hearts that God needed you and was ready for you to complete your journey in life with him. We know that you and Greg will be able to tackle whatever it is that God has planned for you and be the best guardian angels that anyone could ask for. Chris, we love you and will miss you very much.

I've known Chris since high school but it wasn't until Bob moved to Arizona that Chris and I became very close. I never once heard him say that he was too busy to help anyone out...regardless of how well he knew them. He taught me a lot about friendship and he'll be in my heart forever.

Chris, you were always the jokester in school and your legacy lived on in my stories years later. It seems odd...only a couple weeks ago I was reminiscing about skunk games with you and then last week I found out that you were gone. It doesn't seem right. I may not have seen you in years but I will always keep you in my stories and will always call you a friend. I am sorry I missed your memorial service.

Chris: If you try half of the stuff in heaven that you did on earth, God will probably send you back to us.
It was an honor and privilege to have you for a nephew and I will really miss your smile, your charm, and everything about you that made you such a special person. You have had such an impact on everyone you knew.
God bless you always and forever!

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I worked with Chris during the construction of the Sprint World HQ in Overland Park in 2001. He always had the gift of putting many smiles on many faces while we worked. I would run into him from time to time here in Topeka and he always acted as if he had just joked with you the day before. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many.

Chris was so fun, one of the only other people I know, near my age, still unmarried and no children. I could run into him at Live, give him a hug while he was chatting with numerous females, smile to myself and walk on. He was younger than me in school, but we were all made from the same cloth. Both guys will be greatly missed. This is a huge tradedy, and I cannot imagine the pain the family must feel. My thoughts are with you. God Bless

I remember meeting up with Chris on a weeknight last summer and going for a ride on our bikes to council grove. We had a beer in the one small bar that was open and came right back to Topeka. It was a long, cold ride back. We enjoyed another beverage at 'old' bullfrogs. That was the last time we had a chance to hang out together without any other friends. I will miss Chris very much and will continue to enjoy the memories I have of him and the way he enjoyed life.

Wadkins Family & Friends:
I cannot begin to find the words to express my sorrow and sadness for you all. I went to school with Chris and graduated with him in 95'. It seems that the appropriate theme for Chris's life is that he had a desire to make others around him smile and laugh-always the jokester. Sometimes it seems like only yesterday-but when you are feeling such sorrow, the memories can seem so out of reach and hard to remember.
Being a parent myself now, I cannot imagine the grief, anger and pain that is consuming your hearts at this time. Does it not seem they should be pulling into the driveway at any moment-or looking at your phone because they have not yet called today-painfully remembering why?
Please know that my sincere prayer for you all is that the love and healing power of our Heavenly Father will consume you and keep your heavy hearts soft and filled with the love and memories of your beautiful boys.
