Arlene"Susie" (Percy) Smith, age 70, passed away Wednesday March 12, 2025 at her home in Piedmont. She was born April 15, 1954 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Barfield) Percy.
A life long resident of Piedmont, Susie married Roger Smith on June 9th, 1973 in Piedmont and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2003.
In addition to her parents and husband Roger, she is preceded in death by one son, Corey Smith, and a sister, Marcella Henson.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn Malin and companion Mike Pruett of Piedmont, MO, one stepson, Danny Gentle and his companion Tom of Chicago, IL, five brothers, Roger Percy, Bill Percy, Wayne Percy, Ronald Percy, and Mike Percy, and one sister, Mary Beth Percy.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Elijah Malin and his companion Isabella Kroder, and Dalton Malin, One great grandchild, Aria Malin along with many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation was held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15th at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral services followed at 3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Richard Sanders officiating. Special recorded songs were played for the service and Dalton Malin gave a tribute to his grandmother.
Cremation followed the service.
