Not sure what to say?

To Melinda, so sorry to see this notice. Hope you are doing well & my condolences to your family. We were roommates in Santa Barbara soo many years ago & you & Chuck were fun to be around! Sending warm wishes & hugs, Lyn Mccandless

I very much miss swimming with Chuck at the Lompoc Aquatic Center. Even though he would sometimes splash me when I least expected it. He was the dictionary definition of a mensch, ad I miss him at the pool.

Chuck and had an obsession with swimming at the Aquatic Center in Lompoc. 11:30 am. Chuck was an outstanding swimmer clicking off 3,000 yards in an hour. He would keep track of the lap he was swimming by the name of the family member on his list. He was a caring person who kept track of swimmer friends. Chuck had a sense of humor second to none. His funny way of looking at life made life around him a lot of fun. Hard charging surfer, dedicated craftsman, fine human being. Thanks for the crazy times we had in Costa Rica on 'Mister Chuck's Wild Ride!'

Chuck was a friend and neighbor & always had an interesting tale to share.
Visiting him at the studio in Harmony & watching him work was a highlight of understanding his art.
He had many great surf stories to share & had a great collection of surf boards to admire bless his surfing soul

I miss you Chuck!

Fondest and everlasting memories are etched in my mind about your wildman VW bus driving skills through the rivers in Costa Rica back in the 70's! They only made one Chuck Walters--an unforgettable 'hombre mas fuerte'! RIP

RIP my friend. It's been a good 40+ years since we met. Dusted off one of your paperweights and having a beer while reading this. You and Al save me a spot I'll be along soon enough...
