David M. Zarish, Sr., 66, of Cream Ridge, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025. Born in Trenton, he resided in Cream Ridge for many years. David worked as a HVAC Technician for 16 years. As a first responder, he dedicated his life to serving others. For five years, he served as an EMT for Liberty Rescue in Trenton and was the former Commissioner of District 2 in Franklin. David was a life member of Kingston Fire Department and was Fire Police for Hope Fire Company in Allentown and Upper Freehold.
In addition to helping others, David’s faith was a central part of his life, and he was a longtime member of Allentown Presbyterian Church. David loved his dogs, Duke, Zeus, and Baloo who were his constant companions but above all, he was a loving and devoted father to David and Morgan.
Son of the late Edward and Audrey (Dillahey) Zarish, he was predeceased by his infant brother, Tommy and by his brothers, Edward J. and Kenneth P. Zarish. David is survived by his loving children, David M. Zarish, II and Morgan M. Zarish; his children’s mother, Darlene Welsh; his nephew, Kenneth P. Zarish Jr., his close friends, Harry Krotowski and Dave Johnson as well as his many other firehouse friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday, June 29th from 2-5pm and again on Monday, June 30th at 10am at the Hope Fire Company, 82 Route 526, Allentown, NJ. Funeral service will begin at 11am on Monday, June 30th at the Firehouse. Interment will follow in Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s name to The New Jersey Firemen’s Home, 565 Lathrop Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005.
