Andrew E. Torgersen SAUGERTIES - Andrew E. Torgersen, Sr., 71, of Kings Highway, entered into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at the Kingston Hospital. He was born May 10, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Vietnam War. An area resident for over 40 years, he was a retired employee of the Saugerties Central Schools where he served as Head Custodian at the Grant D. Morse School. Andrew was predeceased by his wife Joan and brother James. Survivors include three sons: Andrew, Jr., of Biglerville, Pa., Edward of Livermore, Calif., and Eric of Saugerties. Three daughters: Helen Shaw, Rachel Torgersen and Kerri-Ann Torgersen, all of Saugerties. Nine grandchildren: Leanna Torgersen, Kaitlyn Baker, Nicholas Baker, Hannah Torgersen, Devon Augustine, Caedan Torgersen, Benjamin Moulton, Jack Torgersen and Axl Torgersen. Four great-grandchildren: Sophie Torgersen, Ava Torgersen, Greyson Torgersen and Hunter Baker. He is also survived by two sisters: Eva and Audrey. His Service of Remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Sat., Jan. 10, 2015, at the Fountain of Life Church, 71 Old Kings Highway, Lake Katrine, N.Y., 12449.
