Jeannette Lois LeBlanc, age 55, died on October 15 after fighting a courageous battle against a sudden illness. Jeannette was a loving and devoted wife, stepmother, stepgrandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend and she will be greatly missed. Jeannette had a warm and welcoming personality, and made friends easily. She enjoyed gardening, making jewelry, spending time with family and friends and her pets, especially her beloved dog, Lexie. Jeannette will also be fondly remembered as a wonderful funeral director, where she helped many families through difficult times by her professionalism and compassion. She is survived by her life partner, Vicki Bergquist and her children and grandchildren, father James E. LeBlanc, Sr. and stepmother Diane, brother Jimmy E. LeBlanc, Jr., stepsister Shauna Coll and husband, Mike, stepbrother Brandon Stelly, stepnephew Caleb Stelly and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Constance "Connie" Trew LeBlanc, her maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. A memorial service at 11:00 AM will be held on Saturday, October 21st at Rabenhorst Funeral Home at 825 Government Street in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM. A reception following the memorial service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Friends and extended family are also welcome to attend the reception.
