Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry for your loss. James was one of the nicest guys I knew in high school. It was a long time ago but, you never forget the nice people who made life easier and more fun. My prayers are with your whole family.

James was an extraordinary, special man. We lost him almost a year ago and I still went looking for any information about him today. That is how special he really was -- one of those people you never forget.

I don't know what else to say. I didn't know him well, but always felt very welcomed by him and saw him do so much for the Class of '90.

Here's a toast to the one and only James!

August 6, 2010

I was sorry to read of James' demise tonight for the very first time. I joined Accenture in 1998 and followed the whole Bigtimeconsulting.com satire, which brightened my darkest day. I hope yours light up soon. I am very sorry for your loss.

Was surfing the net looking up Ankara American High School and found info James passing away. We were friends in my junior year of high school. It was a long time ago. But I remember he was always positive, funny, and fun to be around. From what I have read in the guest book they were all traits he carried on through his life. Sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept our sympathy and prayers.

I was very sad to hear of James' passing. He was a very special person. I knew James when he was a Doolie (Freshman) in CS-24 at the Academy and I was a Junior. James made the Academy a better place. He will always be my friend, and he will be missed.

I am so very sorry for this untimely and heartbreaking loss. I wish peace and healing for all who are feeling the pain of James's passing right now. Monika, my first college roommate, so often spoke with admiration and love about her older brother. I don't think I have ever seen a picture of James where he didn't have a huge smile, and I'll always remember that smile and hope in time that James's family and friends are able to smile a little more each day in loving memory of him.

Someone needs to play that 3rd verse for him. I regret never meeting James in person, even though he sat on the AOG board only moments away from my house.

I'm so glad to have gotten to know him, & to have been able to learn more about him, even if it was only through electronic media.

One great guy. Here's a toast.

November 16, 2009

I never had the privlege to meet James. But my son TJ sits next to Zane in his classroom. He came home and told me the story. It's heartbreaking. We keep the family in our thoughts and prayers every day and night.

I was very stunned and saddened to hear the news about James/Stripe's death. I am so sorry, Carine, Zane, and Kyle, for your loss. He did so much to bring so many people together. I have several 10-year-plus friendships that would never have existed if it hadn't been for him. Thank you, James/Stripe.

A great loss to his family, his community, and to a VERY tight group: the graduate community of the Air Force Academy.
"Stripe" was a great member of the USAF, and a leader among the graduate community with his wisdom and foresight. He will be greatly missed but as Col Hector Negroni said so eloquently: "...the way to make a person immortal is to remember their life."
This fine man will be immortal in MANY people's lives!

A toast brother! Cleared to Flight Level 500 and beyond!

I shall never forget that James Sanchez was a great friend and supporter of US Air Force Academy activities. The entire USAFA graduate community mourns his passing but chooses instead to celebrate his exemplary life. It is said that the way to make a person immortal is to remember their life. James is indeed immortal in our hearts.

We are all so shocked and saddened about losing James. It was a pleasure working with him at Freese and Nichols; he and I worked closely on many endeavors. He was creative, witty, and so capable. From the day he joined our firm he was instantly popular both for his professional talents and his good nature. He will be terribly missed. My heart breaks for his family.

James loved his family, especially Carine, Zane and Kyle, more than he could adequately express. We talked about many things over the years, but the subject always seemed to go back to how much he loved his family and the joy his loved ones brought him.

I am proud to say he was a friend.

I miss him deeply.
