Tracy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend to all that knew her. She honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 1/2 years deploying to Desert Storm. Her decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, Naval Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, National Defense Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Southwest Asia Campaign Medal with three stars, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal with Palm Device, Kuwaiti Liberation (K) Medal. Tracy attended Walden University where she earned her Masters Degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science with Cum Laude honors. Tracy attended Coastal Carolina Community College and earned a degree in Associate of Art. She also earned an Associate of Applied Sciences in accounting, business administration and paralegal technology. Tracy was self employed as a farrier and riding instructor. Tracy enjoyed trail riding, traveling, teaching her students to ride horses and spending time with her friends and family. Tracy was kind, loving, selfless and had a passion to help others. Being surrounded with her dogs, horses, cats and rooster always brought her happiness.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Sousa-Barrett.
Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Pilgrim Home Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Ernie King officiating. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the service and other times at her home. Interment will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Michael Krieser of the home; her parents, Paul and Sharron Barrett of Merrimac, Mass.; her daughter, Tristan Krieser of Beaver Falls, Pa.; her sons, Jesse Sipler of Swansboro, Timothy Krieser of Wampum, Pa.; her sister, Wendy Rouse of Dover; her brother, David Barrett of Maine; and three grandchildren, Hunter, Mason and Bentley.
Special thanks to Community Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Zeri and staff, Dr. Raab and staff, Dr. Solar and special thanks to Jennifer Jarman, RN for being so compassionate and the love shown to Tracy and family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC Foundation) PO Box 204, Norwood N.J. 07648.
Garner Funeral Home, Kinston is assisting the family with the arrangements.
