To Chuck, Mary, Pat and all of the family and friends of Charlie
From Terry Hickey Abercrombie
?An Irish Goodbye
Today we know you have no pain,
Nor sorrow in your life.
We know that you are at peace now,
And free from earthly strife.
A wake took place on your behalf.
You sure did make them proud.
A chorus of an Irish tune
Was sung by all out loud.
Those twinkling eyes will now be missed.
Those devilish looks? Oh, yes!
Your Irish eyes now looking up
Toward heaven…none the less.
Dear Charlie, save a place for us.
Please keep the band in tune.
And someday when we join you there
We'll bring our own bassoon.
