Scott STRAHAN Obituary

STRAHAN,
Scott David

In Memory Of
Scott David Strahan who passed away unexpectedly
on June 18, 2017.
He was born March 7, 1968 and was 49 years old.

Scott was born in Anaheim, California to Bill and Elizabeth Strahan.
He enjoyed all life had to offer. As a child he demonstrated his natural mechanical abilities many times to his parent's amazement, when he would take things apart in the house including electrical items. Scott graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in California and worked as an engineer in businesses including UPS. All who worked with Scott realized quickly he was a positive member of the team, always encouraging and smiling.
In 1996 Scott married Ami Adams and they had two children, Emily and Sam. They built a life together in Orange, Vista and Spokane. He and Ami were soul mates meant to be together through this lifetime. His passion for life continued when he became a father. Emily truly thought of Scott as a superhero and best friend. Sam has grown to be a wonderful young man with his father's unending patience and commitment. Scott always wanted to make sure his family was happy and enjoying life to its fullest.
He always loved a good adventure with his childhood friends. Scott was known to race a Ferrari, co drive in rally races, sky dive, and paraglide off cliffs, rock climbing with his daughter, snow skiing, wake boarding and within the last year, kite boarding. He was an avid outdoorsman. One of his favorite pastimes was to be at the lake with his family. He was preparing for the seasonal trip at the time of his passing.
Scott's family moved to Spokane from Southern California in 2004. This is where he began a new business in real estate investment and management. Scott always took on a challenge and took pride in maintaining properties himself. Scott made himself available to friends and anyone in the community in need. He looked at the good in every person and was a positive force for many. He was involved in the community through many different groups.
Scott is survived by his wife Ami, children Emily and Sam of Spokane and his brother Eric of California. So many others will be impacted by his absence in their lives, from his friends and support in AA, who helped change his life for the better to those who have been close to Scott in both personal and business dealings.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth in 2011 and Bill in 2013.
God's Speed Scott..... We know you liked to go fast.

Scott was a valued member of the Spokane Men's Study Club, a fresh voice with a youthful outlook. I miss his presence quite often when the club meets and we discuss issues and ideas. He was our youngest member and his passing deprives us of his congeniality and considerable wisdom. Oh yes, he is remembered, with fondness and sorrow.

Scott was a great fellow and a valued voice from a generation younger than mine. I am glad to have been a recipient of his wisdom and conviviality in the short time that I knew him. I do so wish he were still with us.

It is not a coincidence that anyone and everyone that had the privilege of knowing Scott Strahan, all have similar remembrances of an individual with great caring and compassion for his family, relatives and friends. Scott's circle of close friends describe him as, "Gentile, Kind, Generous, Sweet, Good". Scott was all of those things and much more. In 2015, our son, Tommy Henrich, passed away unexpectedly, Tommy and Scott were close friends growing up in Olinda Village, Brea, CA. I will always remember the fact that Scott reached out to Maureen and I with his sincere offer of support two years ago. Yes, Scott's smile made everyone feel better, he could light up a dark room. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to Ami, Emily and Sam. Scott will truly be missed, but will remain in our hearts and memory forever.

Scott was a kind and generous man. He helped me out when I needed a place for my grandkids and I. He cared a lot for everyone. I am so sorry for your loss.
I keep getting these glimpses of memories of him. His smile, his hand shake, his stance. Mostly I'll miss his great smile.
