I have many, many fond memories of this absolutely wonderful man....going back to the mid 60s. He was the one person who I wanted to attend my retirement party (UBC library), but after 54 years I am still here - I waited too long! RIP my dear friend.

Bill was a supportive, excellent manager. I valued his expertise, perspective and witty sense of humour. We will miss him.

Bill brought me to the U of Waterloo Library, I followed him as Univ Librarian. He was a great mentor and treasured friend. My love to his families.
