Dr. Mauldin was a wonderful physician and very caring and compassionate human being. He treated my son's ADHD and tourette's with respect and wonderful bedside manner. He was always kind and never judgmental. He answered all of our questions completely, and gave a fretful mom and dad comfort. May God give you strength and courage in your healing. Please know that Dr. Mauldin touched so many lives. Peace be with you. The Mossell Family

Dr. Mauldin was the doctor for my mom, and two kids for many years. I have trusted him with my children's lives and seen him do wonders for my epileptic daughter. He always listened to my concerns with an open mind and was always wonderful with the kids. I am truly saddened by his passing, and I will keep his family in my prayers. He was a wonderful wonderful man, professional and otherwise, and he will be dearly missed.

My daughter and I learned of Dr. Mauldin's untimely passing just today. Dr. Mauldin has been my doctor for years and saved me from unnecessary surgery that would have left me institutionalized at a very young age. He always treated me with the utmost respect and the best medical care possible. Dr. Mauldin also became my granddaughter and grandson's doctor when they both began having seizures when only a few months old. My daughter and I could not have asked for a more respectful, understanding, empathetic doctor who did everything in his power to make live easier on my grandchildren. Dr. Mauldin, you were unique in many ways, and we will miss you dearly.

How shocked and saddened I was to learn of Dr. Mauldin's passing. I found Dr. Mauldin when my daughter, at age 6 months, began having seizures. As a first time mother, he was my light at the end of the tunnel. My daughter was eventually released as his patient. We last saw him three years ago. Dr. Mauldin's wonderful bedside manner and genuine concern will never be forgotten. He definitely was angel who has now returned to heaven.

Karin, I was so sad to hear of Larry's passing. He was a wonderful colleague: warm, funny and always put his patients first. I will miss seeing him and you at the Child Neurology get togethers. He always had great stories about gourmet/frugal dinners, best restaurant in whatever city the meeting was held, Germany, Kiawah, shrimping, the grandkids, music and most of all you.
I will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. Mauldin was my daughters Doctor and I couldn't have been more pleased with his treatment of my daughter. She was only 11 when we first started seeing him, he was great at making her feel comfortable. She is 18 years old now and doing well. She too will miss him very much. He was a very special Doctor and I am honored to have had the pleasure of knowing him and thankful for his help with my daughter.
He was truely a good man/Doctor and will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family during your time of grief in the days ahead of you. Hold on to the memories of him and God will do the rest to help you through your time of need.

Dear Mrs. Mauldin and Family,
I am so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Our family, too, will miss Dr. Mauldin greatly. I have been a patient of Dr. Mauldin's since my junior year of college (over 21 years ago). He saw me in the emergency room after a seizure at college and I saw him regularly until he changed his specialty to pediatrics. Ironically, at that time, he started taking care of my 10 year old son, Tyler, for a tic disorder (he was about 18 months old.) Each time we saw him, we all knew we would have a wonderful visit. He had the most compassionate and caring demeanor. You always felt like you were the most important person in the world at that point in time and there wasn't anything we couldn't overcome together. He will be sorely missed by us all, especially, Tyler, who has come to trust Dr. Mauldin completely and actually enjoyed his time with him. We all trusted him with our lives and not just because he was a good doctor, but because he was a good, kind person. May your memories of him fill your hearts. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Mauldin Family,
I was a patient of Dr. Mauldin in the mid to late 80's. I saw him for about 8 years, until I grew out of my seizure disorder. He always made me feel so comfortable. I loved going to his doctor appointments! For a while I even wanted to be a neurologist just like him. When my daughter was 6 months old, she began having seizures. I was so happy to find out that she would be going to see Dr. Mauldin also. He was such a wonderful man. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Fortunately I never needed Larry's professional services, but we had many adventures together in high school and college. I am not surprised at the many comments from patients in the guest book. Larry was always positive and exuded quiet strength. He had a bemused curiosity that was infectious.
Our heart goes out to Karin, Ben, Matt, and Chris, and to the rest of the family. We will all miss him.

Dear Mrs. Mauldin and family,
Words cannot express how much our family loved your husband for taking care of our son, Merritt Gregg, for over 26 years. We always knew with our son in his hands, we had the very best, caring, compassionate doctor we could ever have. He was not only our son's physician, he cared about us as parents raising a child with medical issues. He was always there, he loved his patients and they knew it. From 1981 until now he has cared for my son. Please know that we have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

I remember hearing once that God lends us His best for only a limited time to to perform His work here in our lives. Larry was certainly one of His best. I sent him many patients over the years, and never had a result that was other than the way it was supposed to be. Larry and God leave many miracles in his wake, who will continue to remind us of Larry.

We were so sad to hear of Dr. Mauldin's passing. Our 15 year old son has been a patient since he was 4 years old. He was instrumental in helping us find the reason for our son's illness and he is a vibrant, young athlete because of Dr. Mauldin's help. He was the most gentle man and had the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever known. We will miss his smile and kind way of making us feel special.

My deepest sympathy to Dr Mauldins family. In 1992 I had a daughter that was diagnosed cortically blind by another dr and was told she would never walk, talk or enjoy life. Thats not the case now.
