Kyle Anderson Obituary

Kyle William Anderson, 57, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Ocala, Florida.
Born on August 21, 1967, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Kyle was a man of intellect, humor, and faith. A graduate of Brookville High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!) before pursuing and completing his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. His career led him to roles as a management consultant for AT&T and as Vice President at North Highland in Atlanta. Known for his sharp mind and exceptional communication skills, Kyle built strong relationships with colleagues who often became lifelong friends.
Kyle's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was active in church from an early age and served in music ministry during his younger years by playing the piano. At 15, he made public his profession of faith in Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized in Black Creek in Florence, South Carolina. His family takes comfort in knowing that because of his faith and the sacrifice of Jesus, they will see him again-whole and healed.
Beyond his professional and spiritual life, Kyle had a vibrant personality that left an impression on everyone he met. He was known for his quick wit, big smile, and ability to bring laughter to any gathering. A devoted son to Melvin and Alba Anderson, he sought ways to make sure they knew he loved them. As a brother to Leslie (Russell) and Paige (Ben), he was full of jokes and mischief-always the center of attention among family and friends and a favorite of his cousins.
Kyle was proudest of his four children: Lauren (Jake), Kylie (Kane), Micah (Nataleigh), and Aaron. He loved them deeply and supported them in pursuing their dreams. He spoke of them all the time to his coworkers and friends, showing pictures on his phone, sharing their accomplishments, and reminiscing about trips they took when he was healthy. His love extended to his grandchildren-Mason, Kaden, Chance, and Peyton-who brought him joy. He is also survived by 5 nieces: Mary; Bradlee (Enoch); Sarah (Adam); Whitney; and Hannah (Brett); and five nephews Caleb; Truett; Emmett; Wyatt; and Sam; great-niece Anderson; and great-nephew Elliott. His beloved dog Tesla was also a constant companion in his life.
A passionate University of Virginia sports fan, Kyle never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team and share sports news with his best friend, Norm Prillaman. He also enjoyed learning magic tricks even when he was notoriously bad at them (including the famous magic hat from childhood which resulted in an entire glass of milk being dumped on his head!) and was an avid reader. He was quick to meet a need and bring a laugh to a friend.
A memorial gathering will be held on April 5, 2025, at Sandusky Baptist Church, 915 Catalina Place, Lynchburg, Virginia, at 3 pm. The family hopes to see many friends in attendance to share memories. We invite you to visit after the service at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Tim Tebow Foundation's First 24 (https://timtebowfoundation.org/first24), Sandusky Baptist Church's Honduras Mission Team, or the National Ataxia Foundation (https://www.ataxia.org/donate/) Kyle suffered from Spinocerebellar Ataxia for the last 20 years before succumbing to complications from the disease. There is no known cure.
