Of Lockport. Born in Lackawanna, NY, he was a son of Russell and Jean (Mammosor) Schmidt. Lawrence worked for Ontario Specialty Contracting in Buffalo, NY where he was a laborer for 35 years. He enjoyed music, photography, gardening, and going to the family cabin in Hinsdale, NY. Lawrence is survived by his wife Rachel (Beals) Schmidt; children Christian Schwier, Emma Jean Schmidt, Joshua Schmidt, and Jacob Schmidt; siblings Catherine Dombrowski, Mary Schmidt, Linda Krieb, Susan Bersola, Laura Gassman, Cindy Thomas, and Dawn Stenger; also several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated Thursday, May 15th at 1 PM at Marygold Manor, 770 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
