Merry Hall Obituary

Ashville A beloved mother, Merry L. Hall of Ashville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, with family at her bedside, showering her with love and peace.

She was a graduate of Teays Valley High School Class of '67. Later in life she earned degrees from Bliss Business College and from Ohio Dominican University. She worked for the Pediatric Academic Association, Children's Homecare Services, Nationwide Children's Hospital and OSU Physicians. Her responsibilities ranged from Reimbursement/Billing Specialist/Coordinator, Conference Coordinator to Medical Coder.

If you asked her what her greatest joy in life was, she would instantly say her four children. She was extremely proud of how accomplished they became in their professions, but more importantly how they turned out as human beings. Each of them is undeniably compassionate people with servant hearts who love their family fiercely just like she did. She loved her children with all her heart and would do anything for them, their families, and close friends. Her legacy of having an immense amount of grit, impeccable work ethic, a kind heart and overall kindness for others will live on throughout her children and their families.

Remaining to cherish Merry's memory are her four children Julie Hall, Christie Davis (Dustin), Brent Hall (Ashley) and Barry Hall (Brooke). Her six grandchildren, Kinley, Owen, Brynne, JoElla, Zella and a grandson due in November. Her brothers, Robert Schooley (Janet), Terry Schooley (Judy) and Danny Schooley (Masako). Her six nephews, Brian, Eric, Lee, Shane, Koh, and Ken Schooley. Her dear friend, Brenda Cowan, several great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Merry in death are her parents, Edwin and Erma Schooley.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 5pm - 8pm with Funeral/Memorial service on Friday, June 6th at 11am with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Merry's memory to Pelotonia or Vaud-Villities.
