For the short time I had the privilege of working with Captain Stevens on the Lakewood PD., he was certainly one of the kindest, compassionate individuals I had the privilege of working with.

Today, we honor the life and memory of Bill - a truly remarkable man whose kindness, strength, and quiet warmth touched all our hearts.
Bill came into our lives at a time when love and companionship meant everything. From the moment he married Dorothy it was clear that he brought something special to our family - a steady presence, a gentle soul, and a generous heart. He wasn´t just a part of our family; he became a loving pillar of it.
He was a wonderful husband to our mother in her later years - a true partner and best friend. His love for her was deep, steady, and unwavering. He brought her laughter, comfort, and peace, and we are forever grateful for the joy and companionship he gave her. Watching them together was a beautiful reminder that it´s never too late to find love and build a life full of meaning.
Bill had a quiet way of making people feel seen and valued. Whether through a thoughtful word, a warm smile, or a helping hand, he made those around him feel at ease. He didn´t seek the spotlight - he simply showed up with love, loyalty, and quiet grace.
To us, Bill was more than family. He was a friend, a confidant, and a source of comfort. We loved him dearly and always will. His legacy lives on not just in our memories, but in the way we treat each other - with the same kindness, humor, and gentle strength that he showed us every day.
We´ll miss "Pops"more than words can express, but we take comfort in knowing that his spirit is part of us now - and always will be.
Rest peacefully, Bill. We love you.

Love,
The Soltis Family
