Ronald Young Obituary
Born on April 5, 1947, in Oakland, California, Ron built a life defined by love of family, loyal friendships, intelligence, and humor. Well known around town as an owner of the family business Coast to Coast Hardware, Ron would often have a line of customers waiting to get 5 minutes with him, knowing he would have just the right advice.
Beyond his local business achievements, Ron had a deep passion for life's simple joys. He was an avid recumbent bike rider and could be found rain or shine on the neighborhood streets of Elk Grove. Very late in life he became a Pet-Dad to dog, Petecio and Cat, Elliott and was completely smitten. He also had a knack for home improvement, DIY and took great satisfaction in helping others with their projects. He loved the Blues, loved curating playlists and playing them loudly in his truck.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Janet Bartrand-Young; his daughter, Nichole Young and son-in-law Adrion Bates; his sisters, Cheryl Young and Colette Talmage, brother-in-law Tim Talmage and niece Jennifer Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Phyllis Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Stagecoach Restaurant, located at 8713 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, California, 95624.
Ron's legacy of kindness, loyalty, and humor will be cherished by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Ron was a classmate from elementary school through high school whose infectious smile and humble ways were a guiding light for all of us! R.I.P. dear friend.

Ron was a good friend of my brother Frank and I growing up in Stockton. He and Frank were on baseball teams together and had many `other´ adventures.I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. We were looking for him for this year´s Lincoln HS reunion. My condolences.
