Manuel Hernandez Obituary
A man of great character, wisdom, and kindness, Manuel was a source of unwavering love and support to all who knew him. Born on February 17, 1934 in Madera, California, he dedicated his life to God, his family and his country, serving the United States ARMY in the Screaming Eagles 101st Airborne Division as an Infantry Paratrooper. His legacy of hard work, humor, and deep affection for his loved ones will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
He is survived by his wife Josephine Phillips Hernandez, children Ruby, Dolly, Bonnie and Manuel Jr., his grandchildren, Amy, Tiffany, Jonathon, Roseann, Grant, Amanda, Cameron, Mason, his great-grandchildren Andrew, Anthony, Reid, Adrina, Henry, Kingston, Charles, great-great-grandchild Elowyn, siblings Grace and Alex and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish the memories and love he provided throughout his life. His nurturing presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. You will live forever in our hearts and souls.
A military burial service will be held at the CA Central Coast Veterans Cemetery on March 3, 2025 at 11AM, followed by a celebration of his life at the Morgan Hill Cultural Center from 2-5PM.
