Donald Orval Taylor

October 11, 1932 - April 1, 2025

Miami, Florida - Born October 11, 1932, Town of Smithfield, Madison County, New York State and died peacefully April 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and Friends.

Donald graduated from Morrisville Eaton Central High School and went on to graduate from Cornell University Veterinary College in 1963.

Donald and his wife of 60 years, Joan Kiner Taylor, moved to Miami from North Central New York in 1963 and had resided there since. In 1968 he founded Dadeland Animal Hospital serving the community for over 30 years.

Donald is predeceased by his wife, Joan, parents Earl Frank Taylor and Mother Elizabeth Davis Taylor, Brother William Edward Taylor and Niece Nancy Taylor.

He is survived by Sons Michael (Diane), grandchildren Sarah Taylor-Jones (Tyler) and grandson Zachary Taylor all of Seattle, Kevin (Valerie) of Fort Lauderdale Florida, Companion Susan Meyers of Miami and Niece Kim Taylor of New Jersey.

Services -.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday April 21 at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 South Dixie Hwy. Service Tuesday April 22 11 a.m. at Stanford Funeral Home. After service procession to proceed to our lady of Mercy Cemetery 11411 NW 25 Steet Doral Florida for a 1 p.m. internment.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
