CARLA RAE LANE January 24, 1948 June 13, 2025 Carla Rae Lane, 77, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025. Born January 24, 1948, in Loyal, Wisconsin, to Floyd and Myrtle Smith, Carla lived a life rich in love, laughter, and family. Carla was known for her warm heart and simple joys. She had a deep love for bowling, crocheting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, and sudoku. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially blowing bubbles and creating cherished memories with them. She is survived by her devoted daughters: Pamela Lewis and husband Ricky, Sandra Lane and Bill Vardell, Kellie Tefft and husband Ryan, and Robbie Turner and husband Matt. Carla leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren: Karley Page and husband Michael, Cilynda Johnson and husband Josiah, Jonathon Nelson, Reed Lewis and wife Taylor, Siera Tefft, and Logan Turner. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Daivy Johnson and Pratt Lewis. Carla is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend Wade Whitmire. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bobby Lane, her parents Floyd and Myrtle Smith, two sisters, and one brother. A memorial service celebrating Carla's life will be held on Friday, June 27th, at 10:00 AM at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020. Carla will be remembered for her quiet strength, loving presence, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
