BRUCE BODNER Obituary

BODNER BRUCE NOV. 21, 1946 - MAY 9, 2025 Passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 surrounded by the love and care of his family. Bruce was a proud graduate of Temple University Law School (1996) and Syracuse University (1968). He was a tireless advocate for employee's rights through his work as an attorney for TWU Local 234 (SEPTA). He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to justice and his fierce devotion to those he loved. Bruce was the beloved son of the late Irwin and Rita Bodner of Baldwin, N.Y., and a cherished brother to Mark and Lane Bodner. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marlene Bodner, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. Bruce was a loving father to three daughters-Brenda, Beth (both predeceased), and Gwen-and a devoted father-in-law to Timothy Quinn. Known affectionately as "Bompa," Bruce was a source of wisdom, humor, and deep affection to his 10 grandchildren: Lauren, Sean, Jessica, Alison, Joseph, Jaime, Andrew, Matthew, Rachel, and Kevin. His legacy lives on through his 19 great-grandchildren: Joseph, Hailey, Elena, Madison, Victor, Mackenzie, Nathaniel, Madison, Mason, Jacob, Jax, Cali, Maddox, Elysia, Sean, Meadow, Liliana, Josiah, and Forrest. A Celebration of Bruce's Life, honoring his love of family, his passion for justice, and his strength in the face of adversity, will be held at the home of his daughter on Saturday, June 21st at 2:00 P.M.
