Mesa, Arizona - Wesley Bolyard, Jr., 81, passed away at home from cancer on June 10, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona.
Wes was born in Bakersfield, CA to J. Wesley Bolyard, Sr. and Hope (Pickens) Bolyard, and was raised in Kansas City, MO. He married Angela Etiopia on June 3, 1978.
He started working in Quality Control at General Motors in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of Kansas City Ski Club, took 3rd place in the Slalom race in 1981, was Club Champion in 1982, and earned several NASTAR gold and silver race medals. Wes was also an avid golfer and his proudest golf achievement was the two hole-in-ones he made in one round on Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, AZ. He also had 7 more hole-in-ones.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Funeral Home, 1562 E Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85204. Burial will follow at same location.

Wes was a friend of our family's since the 8th grade, and we shared many e-mail & phone conversations years after school. We are so saddened of his passing and will always remember the good times and the nice visits from he and his wife Angie. RIP Wes you were a treasured friend.

Wes, I am trying to solve your calculus problem, the one from high school and or remember what the problem was? You sure had me stumped with that one. Do I get the answer from Angela? Be assured of my prayers.
It seems like only yesterday that you took Holly and me and Tom in when we couldn't get a tee time! Best.
