Jennifer Lynn Smith, age 64, of Muleshoe, Texas died Monday, May 26, 2025 in Muleshoe. She was born August 16, 1960 in Dalton, Georgia to George Lewis and Betty Pauline (Porter) Bedwell. She married Stephen W. Smith in Ringgold, Georgia on May 7, 2010. A private family service will take place at a later date.

Jennifer loved all animals, but especially cats. She was an avid reader and owned many books. Jennifer was a great cook, and considered cooking her "love language". She enjoyed gardening, traveling, crosswords and puzzles. Jennifer was a devoted Georgia Bulldog football fan. She loved classic rock music, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels and the Marshall Tucker Band. Jennifer was a pure hearted and loving person. She is preceded in death by her father, George and a sister, Bonnie Hade.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Stephen; her son, Jason Ledford and his wife, Jessica of Dalton, Georgia; her daughter, Heather Williams of Alpharetta, Georgia; her mother, Betty Bedwell of Dalton, Georgia; two sisters, Carolyn Jones of Cartersville, Georgia and Susie Silvers of Cohutta, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Ryleigh Roberts, Porter Ledford, Piper Williams and Sawyer Williams.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Ten Lives Club Cat Rescue, PO Box 253, North Boston, New York, 14110. Online condolences may be made at www.ellisfuneralhomes.com.
