Judith White Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 22, 2025.
Judith "Judy" White, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family after a recent cancer diagnosis, leaving behind a life filled with love, hard work, and deep connections.

Judy was born in 1940 to Bess and Alfred Goldstein. She spent her childhood in Boston and later moved to the North Shore where she began her family, settling in Swampscott in 1976. Judy truly embraced the North Shore community. She enjoyed volunteering at My Brother's Table and other opportunities where she could make sure others in the area were well cared for.

In 1977 Judy got her real estate license and joined Sagan Realtors in the mid 90's. She remained there until the very end. Judy helped people navigate some of life's biggest decisions, always with warmth, patience, and a loving hand (usually adorned with her favorite "mini globe" ring). She was a mentor, friend and partner to her cousin Erica Petersiel. Her career in real estate was more than just a job, it was a reflection of her commitment to helping others feel at home.

Judy was the devoted wife of the late Dan White, and a proud mother to Rick Rosenblatt (Tammy), Gary Rhodes, and Ron Rosenblatt; and stepmother to Marc White (Lisa), Melanie Femino (Rich), and Matthew White (Darlene). Judy's greatest joy came from her grandchildren who lit up her world and brought her endless pride: Bryanna O'Brien (Greg), Aiden Rosenblatt, Emily Rhodes, Benjamin Rhodes, Cameron White, Jonathan Rhodes, Nicholas White, Danielle Femino, Megan Femino, and great-grandson Gryffin O'Brien. Judy also leaves behind her sister, Barbara Spiegel, nephews Jeremy Spiegel and Danny Spiegel (Joan), grandnephew Evan Spiegel, and many other family and friends (including her beloved blue cushion) whose lives she has made an everlasting impact on. Judy was pre-deceased by her later-in-life partner Julian Gordon.

Judy will be remembered for her compassion, her strength, infectious sense of humor and the deep love she gave so freely to everyone around her.

The family would like to thank Nirca and her amazing team as well as the incredible staff at Care Dimensions whose support over the past month has been invaluable.

Services will be at Congregation Shirat Hayam, 55 Atlantic Avenue, Swampscott on Thursday, April 24, at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Shirat Hayam Cemetery (Temple Israel section), 506 Lowell Street, Peabody. Following the Interment, all are invited to return to Congregation Shirat Hayam from 2:00-4:00 for a gathering to honor Judy.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, My Brother's Table or the charity of your choice.

I worked for Judy and Dan at Sunrise when I first got my realtors license. I remain friends with her through the years. I had no idea till today that she passed away. I am so so sorry for her loss . She was a beautiful woman inside and out she will be missed.
