Alta "Ga" Ann Morgan Smith, 92, wife of the late Clarence "Bill" R. Smith, of West Union, SC, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at Cottingham Hospice House.
A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late John Henry Morgan and Ruby Ellen Jane Powell Morgan. She retired from Keowee Elementary School where she was a teacher's aide and was a member of Welcome Wesleyan Church. She made friends with everyone she met and was loyal to her church. Mrs. Smith was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter: Deborah Jones (Greg) of West Union, SC; brother: Larry Morgan; sister Carolyn Parker; grandchildren: McKenzie Ownbey (Charles) and their daughter, Ellie Ann Ownbey; and Joshua Jones (Lauren) and their children, William and Noah Jones; niece: Janice Ellenburg; nephew: Michael Morgan; and several other great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son: David Anthony Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February, 11, 2025, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

The family is at their respective homes.
