Ann Yvonne Walker, age 74 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the University of TN Medical Center. She was born on March 3, 1951. She was a loving mother, aunt, and friend. She was a graduate of the University of TN Knoxville with her degree in textile merchandising. She later went on to get her degree in nursing from Erlanger School of Nursing, which she then worked in for the majority of her life. She began her nursing career at Chamberlain Memorial and then spent the majority of her time at Cumberland Medical Center, later finishing her career in nursing at the Roane Medical Center. She loved the beach, sewing, and her beloved dog, Pepper, held a very special place in her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents: Delmus Turner & Ina Bane Turner; sister: Della Duren. She is survived by:
Daughter: Marco Yvonne Walker
Niece: Alana Phillips (Brian)
Great Nieces & Nephew: Riley, Ella, and Luke
Close Friends: Lisa Miles, Karen Crockett, and Pam Yokley
Cremation arrangements have been made and the family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm ET at the Child’s Memorial Baptist Church in Harriman. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Ann Yvonne Walker.
