Anthony Benedict Obituary
Tony was a proud Italian American who lived his life grounded in the values of faith and family. Born and raised in the Roman Catholic traditions, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting season and fishing. Above all, he loved cooking especially making pizza, and spending time with his grandchildren. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1965-1967. His warmth, devotion, and generosity to family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of Lena Benedict. Loving father of Anthony A. Benedict, Angela M. Garbe (William), and Paul J. Benedict. Caring grandfather of Rose M. Garbe, and Lilliana F. Garbe. Dear brother of Joseph Benedict (Marcella), Paul Benedict (Jane), Jerry Benedict, and Joy McCourt (Jim).
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2025 12-8 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons- Price Chapel, 3725 Rochester Rd., Troy (between Big Beaver and Wattles), 248-689-0700. Funeral Mass Monday 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 280 E Square Lake Rd., Troy. Visitation at the church begins at 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Tributes to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan – Great Lakes Chapter.
