She was a lifelong member of the United Federation of Teachers Union (UFT/AFT). Arlene was a passionate advocate for women’s rights, civil rights and human rights and tirelessly served others less fortunate.
A gifted cook, she found joy in preparing meals for family and friends. She and Michael loved dancing together and sharing their appreciation for jazz music. An avid reader and culture lover, Arlene also relished evenings at the theater, attending plays and musical performances.
Above all, Arlene cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Her warmth, intelligence, gracious and tenacious spirit deeply impacted everyone she met. She will be dearly missed.
