Her last years were made especially happy by her involvement with the many activities at the Worthington Griswold Center, in particular by the ladies (and men) in the craft class. Her longtime nurse, Karen Richards, was an important part of her life, along with many friends from the Indianola Presbyterian Church.
Barbara was a cat lover and her beloved cat Abby was a large part of her life, providing her joy in her many health struggles.She is survived by sisters Susan and Elizabeth, nephew Philip, nieces Tanya (Greg) and Dora (Benjamin), and grand nephew Jack.
