Barbara Williams, 86, of Gainesville, TX, passed away April 25, 2025 in Highland Village, TX.

Barbara was born October 6, 1938 in Colorado Springs, CO. As a child in a military family, she moved around quite a bit, graduating from high school in Burbank, CA and from North Texas State in Denton, TX. Barbara married John W. Williams and they lived in various places in Texas before settling down in Gainesville. She was an avid reader and conversationalist that never met a stranger. She enjoyed her family’s time spent at their retreat on Lake Texoma.

Mrs. Williams was predeceased by: parents Elmo and Leila Livergood; sister-in-law Barbara Barnhart; brother-in-law Scotty Weathersby; brother-in-law Bill Perryman; and sister-in-law Jan Williams.

Mrs. Williams is survived by: husband John W. Williams of Gainesville; son J. David Williams of Denton; daughter Susan J. Swan of Bridgeport; sister-in-law Martha Nell Perryman; brother-in-law Thomas Williams; sister-in-law Linda Weathersby; and brother-in-law Mack Barnhart.
