Benjamin Brown, 77, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 17, 1947, Benjamin served honorably in the United States Air Force before embarking on a lifelong career as a cable splicer with Verizon. He worked diligently to provide for his family and was admired by colleagues for his skill and dedication.
Family and friends meant everything to Benjamin. He was deeply loved for his wisdom, generosity, and the thoughtful advice he shared. A true gentleman, he was always ready to lend a hand when someone needed help.
Benjamin enjoyed the arts-especially jazz music-and in his youth, created beautiful paintings. After retirement, he discovered a passion for pottery, spending countless hours crafting clay pieces that reflected his gentle, creative spirit.
He is survived by his partner, Denise Hanney; his son, Benjamin Brown; daughter, Leticia Monique Vaughan; his sister, Zandrina Stewart; brother, Tyrone Brown; four grandchildren, Ariel Brown King, Dineen Vaughan, Robert Vaughan Jr., and Krystal Vaughan; and one great-granddaughter, Leira King. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Benjamin Brown; his ex-wife, Leticia Brown; and his sister, Denise Brown.
Benjamin will be remembered for his unwavering love of family and friends, his artistic heart, and his steady, gentle presence. May his memory continue to inspire those who loved him.
