Brenda Kay Smith (Hunter), 73, of Wills Point, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born on May 8, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in Midland. She graduated from Mesquite High School as part of the Class of 1969. Forty years ago, she made Wills Point her home, where she became a cherished member of the community and an active member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.
She was married to Michael Edwin Smith for 39 years until his passing in 2021. Brenda was a loving and generous woman with a gentle spirit. She found joy in crocheting, reading, and gardening-pastimes that reflected her patience and creativity.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Shaun Smith and his wife Tiffany, and Scott Smith; her sister, Carol Overbeck; and her grandchild, Adrian Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Edwin Smith; her parents, Earnest William Hunter and Mary Oleta Harder; and her sister, Roberta Fyffe, her brother, Wayne Hunter
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home Chapel, located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave., Wills Point, Texas, 75169. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Brenda's kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
