Brenda Kay Smith, 67 of San Angelo, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2025. Born November 3, 1957, to William and Mary Jo Wallace.
Brenda married Gary Lane Smith on March 12, 1976. Together they raised two daughters: Mistie and Jennifer. They were blessed with two granddaughters: Haley and McKenna. Brenda attended Lakeview High School. She worked at several local banks starting as a Bank Teller and working her way to retiring as a Trust Officer at Texas State Bank.
Brenda's legacy is one of warmth and generosity, touching the lives of many with her gentle spirit and wise counsel. Her unwavering love and selfless nature were the cornerstones of a life well-lived, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones. She truly enjoyed being a mother taking her daughters to numerous extracurricular activities when they were young and encouraging them in their adult lives daily. She cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters; she loved being able to travel to visit them and video chat often. Brenda welcomed everyone into her home many who she included as being part of her extended family. She also enjoyed her time at the lake with her family/friends, the time spent with her work ladies having lunch dates and playing Bunco. She loved spending the Holidays and special occasions with all her family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Gary Smith; parents William Wallace and Mary Jo Garrett, foster parents Tommy and Shirley Evans, brother Rowe Wallace, sister Virginia Mohler, brother David Evans and Brother-in-Law Roger Smith. Shortly followed in death by brother-in-law Bill Mohler.
Brenda is survived by daughters Mistie Brant and husband Fred of McDonough, Ga., Jennifer Smith of San Angelo, granddaughters Haley and McKenna Brant, sister Terrie Evans, brother Tommy Dale Evans, sister-in-law Kay Wallace, sister-in-law Joyce Carr and husband Bob, bother-in-law Daymon Smith and wife Beth, sister-in-law Donna Smith, numerous nieces & nephews and many others that Brenda considered family (too many to name individually), y'all know who you are.
Brenda will be profoundly missed yet forever remembered.
Celebration of Life will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6 pm

Brenda was a wonderful Mother to all the children her kids drug home. She helped me with her loving and forward thinking with my girls. She will be missed

I have known Brenda and Gary since they married. Brenda was a very kind and loving person we supported our husbands dreams of racing there stock cars at Dead Cow race way in Brontë Tx and other race ways back in the 70 .Brenda drove Gary´s stock cars in the powder puff races and was fearless I believe she won a couple of times. I will always cherish her memory rest in peace my friend until we meet again.
