Brenda Jean Smith

Brenda Jean Smith, 75, of Terrell, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Baptist Church in Terrell, 6651 Colquitt Rd., Terrell, Texas 75160. Burial will follow at the Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Victory Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathew Funeral Home.
Brenda was born August 10, 1949, in Greenville, Texas, to Ernest J. and Bennie DeLean Pickens Owens. She married Danny E. Smith on May 29, 1982, in Terrell, Texas. She worked as a Mental Health Worker with the Terrell State Hospital and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Terrell.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Danny Smith; children, Shawnde Dennis and husband, Pooh, Troy Smith, Jenny Kinsey and husband, John, Dylan Smith; sisters, Nancy Enos and husband, Rick, Cindy Platt and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Whitney Scott and husband, Cody, Matthew Dennis and wife, Haley Dennis, Nikole Smith, Damon Smith, Timothy Smith, Scarlett Smith, Roxanne Smith, Dalton Moore and wife, Tori Moore, Mason Rosson, Colton Kinsey and wife, Christian Kinsey, Cecil Kinsey, Amanda Meisner; 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Earnest Glenn Owens, Benny Sherrell Owens, Deborah Kay Gutierrez; daughter, Dana Moore and husband, Scott; and daughter-in-law, Jill Smith.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Smith, Dalton Moore, Mason Rosson, Colton Kinsey, Matthew Dennis, Cecil Kinsey, Pooh Dennis and Cody Scott.
