Brenda Jean Lewis was born on the 15th day of December 1951
to Herbert Hoover Lewis Sr and Lillie Mae Knapp. She accepted
Christ at an early age. She completed her educational studies at
Phyllis Wheatley high school and Houston Community College.
In 1973, she married Kenneth Earl Taylor, and had three kids
(Darrell, Kendra, and Rushard). She worked a variety of
administrative jobs until retirement from Ameri-Gas. She was an
avid plant collector and loved to have a good time at family
celebrations.
Brenda departed life on May 29, 2025 after dealing with
sickness. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband
(Kenneth), son (Rushard).
She leaves to cherish her memories her son Darrell, daughter
Kendra (Terrance), grandchildren, Maiya, Terrance Jr, Kenneth,
Felise, Thalifa, and Tashard, sisters Linda E Lewis-Clemons,
Juanita Elizabeth Lewis-Trent, brother Herbert Lewis Jr, four
great grandkids, and host of family and friends.
