Caroline loved spending time with her many grandchildren, reading, quilting, traveling with her friends, and watching Nascar racing after church every Sunday.
Survivors include her sons, Carl Williams (Candy) of Lincolnton and Terry Williams (Esther) of Bailey; daughters, Sherry Griffin (Wayne) of Charlotte and Debbie Meggs (Curtis) of Indian Trail; brother, Calvin Caldwell and numerous grandchildren. Her husband Milton Carl Williams, Jr. preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 16 at Mallard Creek Presbyterian with burial to follow at Back Creek A.R.P. Church. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior in the sanctuary at Mallard Creek.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.

I am so sad to hear of Caroline's passing. Caroline and I got to visit a few years ago at the Newell reunion; it was wonderful to catch up and share stories about growing up together and the families we had raised. She was very fortunate to have her wonderful family near.

So many wonderful childhood memories of life with Caroline- we cousins were probably closer than many siblings - playing at each other´s houses and then joining all the other cousins at Granny´s every Sunday afternoon & then, as we became parents and grandparents, enjoying cousins´ day every summer.
She put up a long and valiant fight against her cancer and will be missed greatly by her family & friends.
