Carolyn Louise Williams, a spirited and loving beacon of inspiration, passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on May 17, 1945, in Austin, Texas, Carolyn's life was a testament to the power of dedication, love, and faith. She resided in Buda, Texas, but her influence reached far beyond her hometown. Carolyn's journey wasn't always easy, but she faced every challenge with grace and resilience, inspiring those around her.
Carolyn was a dedicated teacher, having devoted her career to educating the future generations. After graduating from HTU, she stepped into the world of education, igniting young minds with her passion for learning. She was also a respected member at Mount Sinai Church, involved passionately in GSA (Hospitality) and also involved in Sarah Circle. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was passionate about her church family.
Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even a great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Darrell Taylor and his wife, Mackenzie; grandsons Darrell Crawford, Brian Crawford, Dominique Sanchez, Dontae Taylor and his wife, Dalisa, Trey Keyes, Keegen Taylor and granddaughter Mckinley Taylor; great-grandchildren Damaya Crawford, Jasmine Crawford, Darrell Crawford Jr.,, Kemani Crawford, and Khalil Crawford, Martavia Taylor, Valerie Keyes; and great-great-grandchildren Keiandre Brooks and Kaziyah Brooks and Many more Family and Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lula Breedlove; and siblings Marvin Jr., Jewel, Frank, Marie, Hazel, and Tommy.
Carolyn's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
The family invites friends to pay their respects at a private visitation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 3:00pm for family at CDT at King-Tears Mortuary, 1300 East 12th Street, Austin, Texas, 78702. A public visitation will follow at 4:00pm CDT. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00pm CDT at Evergreen Cemetery, Austin, Texas, 78721. I just wanted to reach out and let the family know that she will be dearly missed. I will miss that smiling face. She would stop by just to say hello and tease me about who I was courting, as she would put it.
