Charlene Marie Shearer, 79, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by family. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, class of 1964. Charlene was an incredible woman who cherished her family and friends. She was an intelligent woman and a hard worker. She worked for multiple financial institutes, but her family meant more to her than anything.
Charlene met the love of her life, Mervin Shearer at age 16. They married in 1965 and celebrated 60 years of marriage this year.
Charlene is survived by her loving husband, Mervin Shearer; two daughters, Crystal (Tim) Roush and Sherry (Don) Kohr; her sister, Cynthia Beck; her brother William (Joan) Beck, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Beck, Ashley Brewbaker, Jessica Hoffman, Ryan Myers and Owen Kohr. Also great-grandchildren that brought her great joy, Zoey Beck, Ella Brewbaker, Ethan Myers, Violet Brewbaker; niece, Kym (Scott) Gillaugh; cousin, Jeff Franks and many more friends and family who's lives she impacted.
Family will receive guests, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11:00 am for visitation at Hoffman Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will take place immediately after service at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
