Charles Michael Wells, lovingly known as Mike, passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 71. He left this world a beloved Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle and Great Uncle. Born on April 23, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, Mike entered the gates of Heaven surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Mike attended McCollum High School in San Antonio. During his time working at the Post Office, he met the love of his life, Sandi Wells. They were married in the backyard of their home and built a beautiful life together, raising three children: Abagail Wells, Joshua Wells, and Alisa Wells.
Mike had a passion for helping others, especially when it came to fixing cars—a skill he generously shared with family and friends. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Whether it was golfing, fishing, or trips to the beach, Mike’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and George Sr.; his nephew, Kevin Paul Haiduk; and his precious granddaughter, Angelina Villarreal.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sandi Wells; his children, Abagail Wells and her husband Steve Villarreal, Joshua Wells and his wife Alexis Wells, and Alisa Orzo and her husband Jason Orzo. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Tyler Bratten and his wife Mali Bratten, Celli Rolen, Aiden Wells, Areiana Rolen, Sierra Villarreal, Aviano Harrison, Tanner Villarreal, and Seth Villarreal. He is also survived by his brothers, Glen and George, and his sisters, Sue, Fay and Beth.
Mike’s memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
