Clarence R. Michael

Clarence R. Michael, 86, of Moscow died peacefully Friday at his home following an illness. His wife is the former Janet Fritz, the couple were married June 25, 1966.
Born October 26, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, PA he was the son of the late Clarence and Sue (Cirko) Michael. Clarence was a Navy veteran serving active duty from 1958 until 1961. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Metropolitan Life as a Data Base Administrator. Clarence was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow, where he participated in Eucharistic Adoration.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 6050 in Moscow.
Clarence was a quiet, gentle man of great faith. He loved his family and was a caring, loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was his pride and joy.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children: CAPT Joseph B. Michael,DMD (Sandy) St. John's, FL, Robert J. Michael (Jennifer) Danville, PA and Mary Sebastianelli (Ronald) Archbald, PA. Grandchildren: Joseph, Patrick, and Megan Michael; Conner, Hailey, and Emily Michael; Ryan A. Sebastianelli, Esq. and Kira Ann Sebastianelli. His sisters: Barbara Burk and Diane Michael; and his brother Donald Michael; sisters-In-law: Carol McGinnis, Connie Carmody, Karen Johnson, and Susan Ridd; and brother-In-law George Fritz and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence was preceded in death by brothers, sisters and in-laws.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church Street, Moscow, PA with Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney as celebrant.
Military honors will be conducted at the church.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
Interment will be conducted privately in St. Catherines Cemetery, Covington Township, PA.
